Hyderabad’s Iconic Hussain Sagar Launches Jet Skiing, Kayaking, and More

Hussain Sagar Lake is set to become a prominent destination for water tourism and adventure activities. On Wednesday, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao unveiled an array of water sports initiatives, aiming to enhance the city’s tourism appeal.

The Amaravati Boating Club introduced activities such as jet skiing, kayaking, jet attack rides, and water rollers to engage visitors of all age groups. To mark the occasion, Minister Jupally, accompanied by Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, participated in a jet ski ride, symbolizing the start of the new initiatives.

During the event, Minister Jupally highlighted Hussain Sagar’s potential as a tourist attraction on both national and international levels. He outlined government efforts to revitalize the lake’s environment while introducing entertainment and recreational options.

Highlighting the growing popularity of water sports, he stated, “Hussain Sagar offers immense opportunities to showcase Telangana’s tourism potential. Alongside these activities, preserving and cleaning the lake remains a priority.”

Minister Jupally also announced plans to collaborate with private entities through public-private partnerships (PPP) to upgrade the lake’s infrastructure and ensure sustainable environmental care.
